Chronicles of Jackdaw

Hail Kinak,
I was leaving Saffron City. Spearow, who now seems to like me a little better, and Cubone were now both worn out, but Rei, my Gastly, was still full of energy. I walked out the city gates with it floating around my head. We walked along the Route home when we passed under a tree. Without warning, a Mankey jumped down at Rei. Why is it I always find the angry monsters, I questioned myself. Luckily, through the oddity of fate, its matrial arts were futile against apparetions, but ghostly powers could still hurt those pugalistic types. Knowing this, I gladly sent my battle-hungry ghost forward.
The ape leapt high and dropped its hand as if to strike my ghost, but it slipped right through. Gastly retaliated by wiping its tongue clean across the pig-monkey's face. This action petrified the Mankey with fear, causing it to stand there shaking for a while. Meanwhile, Gastly rose into the sky, which darkened upon its ascent, and gathered black forces around it. It fired his dark bolts at the Mankey like volleys of arrows. The ape was struck several times, but still was too horrified to move or even to dodge the attack.
Finally, it seemed to overcome its fear, and began to attack again, not that it did any good, of course. Each blow phased through the Gastly as each of its blows struck the ape squarely. This didn't last too long. The Mankey quickly was beat by the Gastly as it finally put the monkey under deep hypnosis. While in this trance state, I tossed my Pokeball...
Since so much of my Pokemon were tired, I decided to go back into the city and visit the Saffron Poke Center. That's when I noticed the Gym. Maybe tomorrow, I told myself...

Pokemon and Pokemon characters are property of Game Freaks, Creatures, and Nintendo. I did not make them nor do I take credit for them. However, most characters and various other things included in this fanatic fiction are of my creation, so hands off!
