Hail Kinak,
I'm back in Stone Town. Kelly returns to her home for the meantime. The place seems unchanged since my last visit. Reluctantly, I hang around to see if the gym leader decides to show up now or not. I figure I should give her a day or two before I hit the road to another gym. To pass the time, I try to catch a Pokemon. This time, I train Rei, my Gastly.
We wander the outskirts of the town at night, hoping for some interesting Pokemon to show up. Off in the distance, I spot an awkward orb. We go for cover to approach it. As we draw nearer, we discover the orb is covered in bumps. Thick smoke seeps from the many holes on its body as its fear-striking call comes from its comical mouth. It was,
"KOFFIN'!"
The last time Rei fought a Pokemon of this species, it was very welled trained. A wild one should not prove difficult. I ordered it to attack. Rei drifted to the Koffing, and they stared into each other's eyes. Koffing made the initiative. It dashed towards Rei, only to have its body phase straight through. Being a slow learner, it repeated this folly a few more times. When it finally realized its actions were futile, it tried a different approach, which proved just as ineffective. It concentrated all of its gas on one hole and fired a stream at Gastly. Since Gastlies are comprised of poisonous gas themselves, the fumes were more refreshing than the air to it. To retaliate, Rei ran its tongue up the Koffing's face. It was scared a little, but soon recovered.
Beginning to get angry, it launched volleys of sludge at Rei. Even when they hit, no real damage was done. My phantom returned fire, but with dark bolts of the nights power. It seemed over time that the Koffing ran out of grime. As one final act of desperation, the Koffing did something unexpected. It closed its eyes and mouth and began to shake violently. All of its orifices soon were closed off one by one. I knew what it was doing, and I didn't like it. I began to run away, as far as I could, and ducked for cover. The pressure it was building up in its body was immence. Gastly just stood (floated) there confused by its actions, when I heard... BOOOOOOM!
The pressure had become too much, and the Koffing ruptured in a mighty explosion. The detonation must have sounded for miles radius. I quickly ran back to the site of the battle. The megaton attack left a large crater in the ground, and laying in the middle of it was the Koffing knock out. Rei, who had completely avoided the attack due to its non-corporal body, laughed its haunting laugh. I slide down into the hole and approached the Koffing with a empty Pokeball...

Pokemon and Pokemon characters are property of Game Freaks, Creatures, and Nintendo. I did not make them nor do I take credit for them. However, most characters and various other things included in this fanatic fiction are of my creation, so hands off!
