Hail Kinak,
"Cinder," I cried out, "watch out!" He managed to roll from under the hoof just before it smashed into the earth. Its was scary to think of what would have happened to him. The trainer spoke no words, only a disagreeing grunt, much like he had when I first challenged him. Eevee had been battling for quite some time, and although the Tauros was young, like him, it still proved challenging. It lowered its head and charged my Eevee.
Reacting swiftly, he scuffed up some dirt. Blinded, the wild bull ran into a near by tree and fell on its belly with its legs stretched outward. In the time the Tauros spent standing up, Cinder caught his breathe. The bull turned and leered at my eevee with bulging, vengeful eyes. It began to loose control and went wild. It no longer obeyed its master's orders. Now, it just wanted Eevee to die. It started thrashing at him blindly. It did not know where eevee was, but it also did not care. At the faintest footstep he produced, it charged to that spot. Carefully, Cinder planned his assults, making sure to only strike the bull's flank to avoid its powerful horns.
Cinder would leap to its side, do his damage, and be springing off before its horns could reach him. When he realized that the bull was powerless, he started playing with it. He'd lash his tail at it, and growl in one place, but quickly move to another just to get it confused. His actions soon became careless, and the inevitable happened.
The raging bull was becoming more and more dangerous as seconds ticked by. Fueled by hate, its wrath built. In one unfortunate moment, Cinder failed to retreat far enough from the bull, and his tail was crushed under one of its hooves. Knowing my poor eevee would be trampled in seconds by the out of control bull, I started thinking fast. I made a call, not too loud, but loud enough to be heard over the snorting of the raging Tauros.
"Vee," I squeaked faintly. Not thinking clearly, the Tauros dashed in my direction, to what it imagined to the its opponent. Seizing the moment, Cinder jumped up to the Tauros's back, crashing down upon it. His weight and the force of the blow in the bull's mid-run caused it to trip, sending it sliding across the ground. It stopped shortly in front of me, unconscious. It must have banged its head on the ground when it fell, I though to myself. A ruby laser recalled the fallen Pokemon to its trainer. I saw the pain Eevee was in, and did the same.
"Second round?" yelled I to the other. Playing his poker face, he snatch another ball from his belt and cast it to the field between us. "I'll take that as a 'yes'," I murmured under my breathe. I searched through my Pokeballs, attempting to find one that needed some attention. I found Rei's ball, and tossed it to meet its next challenge.
My dreaded apparation arose from its confines, yawning deeply. It looked around, confused by the lack of a challenger. Its bewildered eyes stared blankly at me. Suddenly, a crack of light shone though the other's ball. It slowly creaked open, and a blazing orb of crimson light unraveled itself across the ground. It began to thinned out, leaving behind a grey surface that reached about thirty feet in length. Its tapered base laid slightly coiled to support the finned head which was lift high into the air. The rock snake stared down from its position high above the specter. Gastly looked lost among the trailing length of its long, slender body.
The Onix wasted no time in attacking. A high-pitched wail streamed forth from its mouth. The deafening, earslitting noise knocked Rei to the ground. The pitch steadily grew higher, until it plateaued. With a horrible ringing in its head, my phantom tried to retaliate. It focused on the rock snake's head and directed its slumber inducing waves. Before these could even start, a rain of stone found the ghost. While the aim of it was bad, what few rocks struck left their mark. The Onix stopped flinging boulders with its tail, and now burrowed deep underground.
Staggering back up, the ear-piercing noise could still be heard even though the source was underground. Trying to find its orgin, Rei focused on the ground. Very faintly, it heard the noise growing stronger. It sought out the point of which it would arrive. Honing its skills, the sound grew louder once again. The stone serpant was nearing the surface. Hastenly, it fired off more hypnotic waves before the beast could even display its nose. It broke through the dirt, again stretching high skyward. It stopped, remaining completely still, when in reached halfway from the earth.
It was sleep. Slowly, the Onix began to sway in the wind. My Gastly bombarded the napping snake with dark powers from beyond the grave. The blasts of engery gave the final push for the serpent. As it bent only slightly at first, it soon came rushing to the ground. The other trainer had to run from the approaching shadow to save his life. A mighty thud sounded upon its landing, breaking up the ground around it. It laid there, motionless, for some time. Disappointed in his defeat, the trainer withdrew his Pokemon and fled. Gastly let out another great yawn and perched himself on my shoulder. I turned back in the direction of Stone Town.
