Hail Kinak,
At the crack of dawn, I was already well into the unlit cavern. I did not want to give my eyes time to accustom to the light, a luxury I would not have for a few days now. I roamed the hollow with one arm holding a makeshift torch and the other held in front of me to prevent myself from running into walls. Even with the torch light, the cave seemed to devour all radiance. Throngs of Zubat flew overhead. My cautious hand guided me along walls, but then it slipped. Something was different about this wall. I drew my torch closer to it. It sunk inward and was badly cracked and broken. After careful examination, I knew what it was.
"D'oh!" I yelled involuntarily. "This is just the hole you made last night, Rei! Its nothing special!" I could hear my Gastly chuckle through its Pokeball. I pressed onward. The rocky confines began to look familiar to me, as I lost tract of wheather I was going in circles or not. Every formation looked the same as it did two minutes ago. In the distance, I heard a faint noise. Pausing every action and halting my breathe, I honed in on the sound. I wandered in its direction, figuring as long as I was going towards something, I could not be going in circles. A rhythmic beat was formed from the noise. Soon, it became a regular beating. It drove me mad. I finally came upon the source of this bothersome pulse.
The stone boundaries parted for a small swell giving room for a chamber of some sort. In it were two male Machokes fighting for the territory. Demonstrating the fighting skills of a black belt, the two superpowers clashed. One of the Machokes, which towered over the other, showed strong signs of being victorious. The small one was draped over the larger ones shoulder and hurled down a passage way. It smiled proudly of himself, and then it spotted my torch light.
"Uh-oh." I hysterically fumbled for a Pokeball and peered inside it, beholding my Electabuzz. I have not gotten a chance to view him in action yet, so now would be a good time. "C'mon, Electabuzz, it's time for you to do your stuff!" He folder his arms and cocked his head to the side. "Oh, don't be that way. He'll be a lark." Electabuzz peered the gloomy hall at the battered Machoke. After a short shriek, he shook vigorously begging not to be sent out. "Oh, you don't have a choice. Wee!" The orb cleft right ere the Machoke, and Electabuzz popped out into its arms. Screaming aggressively, the Machoke was quick to put my Electabuzz in a head lock.
"Go, Electabuzz! Hit it with some juice!" I cheered him on. Static began to gather on his antennae. A surge of power flowed through his body. The Machoke halted in fear of what the Electabuzz was to do. Electricity now poured off its body and leapt to his clenched fists. Aiming them true, streaks of lightning flew off them, frying their target. I was stunned by the awesome power. Literally. I was.
"You stupid Electabuzz," I scolded while standing up, dusting myself off. "You're suppose to hit the Machoke, not me! I'm your trainer, not your opponent." He growled at me. Zzzaaappp! "I give up," I admitted, not even bothering to stand this time. The Machoke regained its squeeze on the Electabuzz. Forgetting momentarily about me, he pounded his high voltage onto the Superpower. Its muscles stiffened, and Electabuzz slid out of its grasp. The Machoke stared at him weirdly, until its eyes went out of alignment.
"Lazy eye, la-a-a-zy eye," it oddly spoke. This just the confused all of us, even it. The Machoke failed its attempt to loosen up its joints, and Electabuzz unleashed a speedy succession of attacks. Tooth and nail, he tore up the Machoke, but this was nothing to the Machoke. Seeing his shortcoming, I cried out:
"Electabuzz, use your-" a bolt just missed the side of my head. "-... never mind." Before Electabuzz could gyrate back to his foe, it had grabbed him by the neck and slammed him against the wall, fracturing the rock behind him from the might. Unwittingly, he expelled his stored thunder. It channeled via the Machoke's arms. It roared in anguish. The surge continued until Electabuzz had expended all of his reserved power. Still, the Machoke was on its feet and did not look happy. It booted Electabuzz in gut, causing him to retch. Wiping his mouth, he was forced to gag again from the Machoke dropping its hand on the back of his neck. He was flatten on the jagged stony floor. Gasping for air, which Electabuzz found it difficult to do with the Machoke stepping on his back, he felt the ground. Evil sparked in his eyes.
Condensation from overhead stalactites had dripped into a small puddle, which his foe was standing in, too. As the Machoke rained blows on him, he desperately tried to generate enough electricity. Almost keeling over, he dropped his arm. The tip of one of his fingers landed in the edge of the pool. A burst of light rose from the water. The Machoke shook frantically. Its eyes dulled, its face warped by pain, its body smoked, and, finally, it was thrown from area at mach speed. The superpower's head connected with the edge of a corridor.
"Wow," I exclaimed. "That was some nice work there," I said while lifting the Electabuzz up from the floor, "... Thor." I smiled. He frowned. "C'mon. Cheer up. You won?" I patted him on the back. Zzzaaappp! "Daaaaaah..."
