Chronicles of Jackdaw

Hail Kinak,
Still further I lurked the cave. I could feel the end was near. My makeshift torch was burning low, its illumination wearing down fast. I walked through a passage way in the near blind darkness, when I found myself up against a wall. I had run into it rather fast, and it took a while to realize that it was the floor I had collided with. Pulling myself up, I saw the reason for my tumble. Pivoting at my feet was a rotund, rocky head. I seized an globe from my pocket, and sent it to face the monster. The Geodude had propelled itself forward even before the contents of the ball was revealed. Mooky, my Mankey, barely was able to dodge its approach. The Geodude rolled over my back and turned back to the pig monkey. With gained speed, it broke past his extended foot and crushed him beneath its body. It bowled over my poor Mankey. Bracing itself on a wall, it thrust back towards Mooky.
This time Mooky was ready for it. He crouched low with his hands in a receiving position. As the curled Geodude approached, it was lifted into the air. Mooky jumped, crushing it into the ceiling, and then dropped, slamming it into the ground. Then with a mighty punch, he knocked it into a wall. Despite the rough treatment, the Geodude simply uncurled itself and continued its advancement.
The Geodude jumped into the air heading for Mooky. With a fleet chop, his hand struck the brute true. The sound echoed through the cavern, yet the creature was not even touched by the force. Its stony hide bore not even a single crack. He locked eyes with the monster to distract it while he lashed out his foot, taking it back far away. Scooping up a nearby boulder, the Geodude hurled it at Mooky. Chopping it into several smaller pieces, he shoveled them up to counter it. They bounced of it hard skin like rubber balls on a steel wall. The Geodude planted its hands into the earthen floor and projected its bulk onward. It had caught Mooky off guard, and smashed into his head, er... body. The blow struck him harshly.
Blood trickled down Mooky's pig nose. As he wiped it away, his fist clenched. Getting up off his knees, he ran for the Geodude before it could recover from its last daring stunt. In full sprint, he punted the rocky monster. As it soared through the air, my Mankey's arm caught up with it, carrying it faster. They both headed for a massive stalagmite. After the Geodude was rammed into the stone formation, Mooky continued to squash it. Its core relinquished and dismembered. Jagged stony shards fell to the ground. As Mooky took a breather, I tossed my Pokeball at the scrap...

Pokemon and Pokemon characters are property of Game Freaks, Creatures, and Nintendo. I did not make them nor do I take credit for them. However, most characters and various other things included in this fanatic fiction are of my creation, so hands off!
