Some heroes are born out of necessity and pull their greatness out of the bottom of their hearts when the oppressed implore salvation. Others are destined by the stars to the legacy of a savior from a likewise fated threat. Still, more warriors are cultivated, trained, and made for just such bleak occasions, for there is always one lurking around the bend. The Ended Dream's Academy carried this philosophy, believing that "someone else" would only be able to pick up everyone else's slack for so much longer. If there was to be a chance for Dream Land to survive the next danger, or an even greater danger than all others, a life of carefree relaxation would have to be abandoned, even if just by a few, for the greater good.
Dynamid is the result of years of focused and specialized training. His lessons were specifically designed to take on the recurring nightmare of Dark Matter and all of his contingent evils. His level head and no nonsense state of mind make him radically different from others of his kind, separating him from the rest more than his greatly contrasting appearance. Hardened into a fighting machine, he vigilantly watches while the civilians drool on their pillows. The slightest disruption to order is noted fully by him, and he is quick to take action and deal out punishment, whether his assumptions were well founded or not.
Dynamid is a giant, standing a full head, or body as it synonymously goes, over his fellow Dream Landers and carries the girth to match. His massive, pale orange body is shaped like a gumdrop, but he bears no sweet resemblance to the confectionary. A wild shock of blue sprouts from the top of his head with no control or combing to tame it. Green gloved hands seemingly hover at his side just below the bulging, blank eyes at the rim of his crown with like colored boots rest beneath them. A golden insignia is emblazoned upon his belly, a four pointed star.
Despite his ridiculous size, Dynamid can take to the sky. He may not soar through the clouds, but travel through the air is not foreign to him. Like a balloon, his already hefty waistline swells as he transforms into a complete sphere. In this weightless state, he drifts upward continuously with little lateral control. The inflation can be dismissed upon will, but, when it is, no air pellet is produced. Rather, he drops back to the ground with a terrible speed and crushing force, smashing anything unfortunate enough to be caught between him and the earth, whether it is obstacles or tiny beings.
The symbol Dynamid bears is the source of his power and is where it manifests. His devastating attack, the Star Burst, is centered from here. After a brief collection of energy, the swelled mark erupts into a shower of points of light. The blitz is launched forward at several, variable angles, striking anywhere within the range of a short cone. The unbridled power is outside of his control and can only be commanded to start and stop, but the broad scope makes aim pointless.
If the charge of the attack is held for an extended amount of time, a feat that requires complete immobilization and lack of interruption for a few moments, then a more devastating mode can be unleashed. This leads to the ultimate incarnation of Dynamid's ability: the Blitz Bomb. In this method of release, a scattered barrage of explosive energy packets is hurtled above Dynamid in all upward and lateral directions. The missiles erupt in unison to create a continuous dome of joined force that leaves foes with little to no chance of escape. As crippling as the attack may seem, the sacrifice made for the multitude of shots is their strength, only leaving enough to dismiss most minor beings with ease. Larger, more troublesome foes are not even scratched.
In addition to offense, the star can also beam out a brilliant, short-lived ray of light. This has use in illuminating a dim area or dazzling a pesky foe for a bit. Contrarily, the method has ill affects for creatures of the shadows, namely the Seeds, which calls into question its utilitarian application.
