Encyclopedia Bimblesnaff: Grape Crook George

The leader of the Grape Crooks gang.

The criminal crew is headed by this mastermind, the purple grape, George. He formulates all their schemes to break into and loot the Bank of Fruit Town, much to the dismay of the teller, Peter Plum. Despite being praised for his planning, most of them follow the format: go into a bank, take the money, and have Greg deal with any resistance.

History:

The Grape Crooks have the "honor" of being one of the few characters appearing in ever iteration of the Super Strawberry comics. They are traditionally given the third spot, following the origin story and the initial battle against Crazy Cherry.

When they appeared in Not Quite Heroes, the black and white style made them indistinguishable from the other masked villains, leading to why they were largely unused. While they have traditionally been a duo, plans were in the works to have a third and possibly more grapes in the gang. This never was utilized in the old Super Strawberry series.
