Tina the Ultimate Survivor? No!
I'll admit to it: I liked Survivor 2. I never got around to watching the first Survivor due to, well, me thinking that it sucked beyond belief. But, since I didn't really get most of the jokes David Letterman would make about the show, I knew I had to watch the second one. Now, it wasn't bad, I'll give you all that, but the outcome was terrible.
Tina as the winner? What the- ? What did she ever do to win? Sure, she never got any votes against her, but that's only because no one saw her as a threat. She never even won a challenge on her own (the only one won in her name was actually won by her family, not herself). I don't care what the votes or anyone else says, Colby won. Tina just rode his coattails to victory. She just hitched a ride with the unstoppable force and claimed the goods. Also, I don't think that Tina needed the money. She said in an interview that she alread owned four motorcycles and, well, she had medical 'enhancements' (sorry, Tina, silicon is a little hard to hide when you only weigh a hundred pound). I don't really think anyone with enough money to invest in their breast needed to win.
Now, back to Colby. Most people will tell you, "Oh, Colby was just fit and strong. That's why he won all of the challenges. Just being strong shouldn't make you the winner." Wrong! Colby proved to be as strong in body as in mind. He won the memory challenge, that sling shot dealy challenge, and, most importantly, the last challenge about his fellow tribe. I have a feeling that if that last one wasn't cut short, Colby would have continued getting the questions right while Tina would stagger further behind. And let's not forget when Rosie O'Donald had some of the Survivor 2 castaways facing off against the Survivor 1 castaways, Colby was the only person on the Survivor 2 side to answer any questions right. Bottom line: He's strong, he's smart, he's likable, he should have won, he did win, he just wanted the money and car to go to Tina. I will never view Tina as the true winner. And from my understanding, so does everyone else. I beleive Colby is more sought after for advertising and other stuff then Tina is. You know, since she sucks and all.
Ah, yes. Colby should have won considering that Kucha was thouroughly screwed! That tribe had it made. They were stronger then Ogakor, had more members, and probably would have come into the merge with a three to two ratio if Mike didn't get burned. Oh, how that moment sucked. Kucha picked off one by one, Jerri not getting voted off immediately (oh, the whore! ... er, horror).
