Objects
There is a motley mix of good and bad items scattered across the crimson castle. Knowing what you are getting into can keep you better prepared.
Break Block is a red, diamond studded cube that lines many areas in the dungeons. They can hold weight but shatter upon any display of force. Any attack, shot or tail, will break the block and allow passage. They can also be headbutted if a jump is initiated right beneath one. Occasionally, after destroying on, a power-up will fall out.
Ghost Block is blue and marked with an X. Upon touching this mysterious surface, it fades away after a short amount of time. Make sure to hurry across a floor made of these or you'll find yourself slipping below.
Bounce Block is green with a ring. Striking it repels the player, or enemy, from it with great force. While they can sometimes be used to reach great heights, they can also send you flying to undersireable locations or launch a foe into your face.
Fang Block is purple with an upturned V on its face. If touched, a pointy protrusion will emerge from the side made contact with. Touching it will hurt! Luckily, only one of the four sides can emerge a point at a time, so use this design flaw to make your stay on the blocks when needed.
Thin Floor is a ledge that can be crossed up and over. The lighter colored variety can also be dropped through with the [Down] key, but the darker red ones cannot. Make sure that you can get where you want to go if you decide to hop up onto one.
Carved Block is a large, gray stone with a gargoyle etched into it. Be careful around these as, while they easily break with an attack, doing so will release the slumbering demon held within.
Zive is a striped pod that releases out a parade of Zee. It can be defeated, itself, just like an enemy, but it won't stop until it is destroyed.
Hexpike is a floating ball of spikes. It cannot be killed or injured with attacks. They can remain in place, drift side to side, roam up and down, or drop with gravity. All varieties are dangerous, so stay out of their way.
Dimension Diamond act as doorways to and from the various stages. From the main hallway, each leads to a particular level to complete. At the end of the entered dimension, passing through the gateway will severe the link with the main hall. Break all the doorways to unlock the path to the final boss.
Health Pick-Up adds to your vitality count. They don't come up much, but can be found stored within Break Blocks. Don't expect enemies to just drop them. Not gonna happen.
