Lunar Labyrinth - Guardians
Gate Guardians are powerful foes who stand in your way. Simply shooting your way through doesn't work on the smaller fries and certainly won't win over them. Keep wary and try to find a weakness to use against them.
Each of these terrible foes has a special weakness that can be exploited, maybe more than one. Keep your wits about you and your eyes sharp for clues. These battles will not be over quickly. Once they are, the Gateway to that quadrant will be opened. Plus, and additional treasure will be given to the player -- a weapon of the design.
Lavetto is the three-eyed ruler of the air. This gelatinous disc floats above and rains down droplets of acid that create hazardous splatters on the ground. Avoid these while trying to find a way to bring it down to your level.
Opruk is the five-eyed emperor from the depths. This snaking worm only ever pops its emmense head up from a hole to attack. It launches out a rebounding blitz in each direction before letting out a shower of Nega Energy. Figure out what to next time you see it when its crawling below.
Dotugan is the no-eyed tyrant of flame. This beaked stalked has a fiery breath that it unloads upon the battlefield. Try and take advantage of the fact that it cannot see.
Weglis is the many-eyed master of the maze. This segmented being crawls about on its many tendrils and seeks out its quarry. As it gets madder during the chase, it crashes about the walls and may even split apart.
Kiraban is the swarm from the waters. They are not a true Guardian and do not need to be sought out and defeated, but they still hide behind a Gateway. Defeating this scuttling horde will unleash a treasure of unspectacular proportions.
Gonitach is the one-eyed king who waits for Squish in the lunar core. This massive menace launchs out a deadly wave of negative energy from its single unit that can slice through a room. It is the final hurtle that must be overcome, so go all out.
