Book Two: Vengeance, Chapter Twelve-
The four combatants stood motionless on the battlefield, each more tense than the next. Rei could not take her eyes off of Frenzy, the marauder who started her covenant of desolation. He had changed greatly over the time she last saw him, to the point where she was almost surprised she could recognize him. His scrawny frame had been augmented to a sturdy build, which he flaunted shirtless under his member jacket. A large, dual-sided ax hung from his waist, dangling by his wide flaring, fray pant legs that obscured his feet. A lengthy departure from his previously clean-cut persona, his fiery hair hung down loose over his stubble covered face, wrapped in a dark band rather than the traditional domino.
"I'm gonna enjoy smash that cute lil' face in of yours," Frenzy spoke up the first among all of them, pulling out his cleaver. Rei peered at him and let out a scoff.
"Nice scar," she simply stated. He glanced down at his bared chest, allowing for the scar he earned from Wrath to be seen.
"Yes, don't think I forgot about Spike doing that," he growled the poison bee's true name. "I just hope you're man enough to send that runt face me one last time." Rei was gagged on the words as they resounded in her head. One last time, one last time, one last time... She sorrowfully clutched her fallen warrior's vessel. "Oh, I see," he came to an understanding. "Well, then, I guess I was right," he pointed it, "about it being a worthless sack of trash, eh?" The anger had grown too much by now, and, unable to take anymore, she withdrew her remaining balls. The battle began.
Four shimmering orbs sailed through the air, bursting open simultaneously. Joining Tengu on the field was the scarlet beast, Cinder, and the spectral mist, who had become Vengeance. Around Calamity appeared the familiar Holocaust, grown to his highest and most regal state, and a newcomer, a slimy skinned, thick armed frog simply, and well deservingly, called Havoc. The masters were engaging one another before the monsters as, in total rage, Rei charged Frenzy with not a moments thought to what chances she stood against the hefty battle-ax. Shade, luckily, thought for her and had already intercepted the swing with his equally massive blade. His concern for others proved costly for himself, however, as the many ends of Serenity's flail stung his back. Able to remove herself from concerns of her revenge, Rei was able to plant her boot into the scientist's face. Knowing she fared a better chance with the lady, she left the men to themselves, with sparks raining from the two metal edges, and descended upon her selected prey.
Frenzy's duet guarded over the stunned siren as she struggled to unpin her dress from the earth. The phantom, with other ideas in mind, manifested itself beneath the Arcanine, lifting high into the air before tossing it aside where they would not be disturbed. As it raced to the landing, surges of dark power bolted from its hands, draining life. The Hypno, sheltering the Flareon, now stepped up to face the Poliwrath. The sleep monster knew he could take on the fighting frog without lifting a finger, but, as a precaution, he peered into what the future might hold and foresaw an opportunity. The pugilist had other plans in mind. Wavering his arms about his swirled underbelly, the spirals seemed to come to life. Captivated by the eerie event, the baku was slowly lulled into a trance. As he tipped over, the flame type was left unobstructed. Cinder refused to cower as Havoc approached, and then he heard something, not so much as words but in a manner he could perceive.
The Gengar vanished as flames trailed to its former position. Holocaust sprayed fire throughout the sky at the phasing ghost only to miss it every time. Occasionally, it would emerge right by the beast to lick his face or kick him in the rear end. Eventually, the grim jester grew careless and teleported straight into a flame. Its noncorporal body singed and scorched, it plummeted to the ground. Lying with its face in the mud, the Arcanine approached. Digging deep down hi throat, he hacked up a whopping ball of magma. Just as he dumped the searing wad, the devil's eyes gleamed before it sank into the earth. As the ensuing smoke and steam cleared from the fiery blast, a deep crater was left. It was most puzzling to the tiger of all, who knew very well that he had not that power. Leaning closer, it was obvious that the hole was already there before his arrival. The reason to as of why came as he was knocked away by a rancid arm stretched from the hole and splattered on his face. Oozing the rest of the way out, Goopy, freed from his frozen and subterranean prisons, was joined along side by Vengeance.
As the amphibian beat his chest fiercely, exhausting himself, he was flooded with primal energies, swelling his muscles to thrice their normal size. Recognizing the cue from the bizarre message, the Flareon did as instructed and bound away. Angered at the dastardliness of his opponent, the Poliwrath chased after him, stepping right over the slumbering Tengu. Still having mastery of his body even in sleep, his fist rocketed upward, making the frog airborne. From his prediction before, the psychic knew that, at that precise moment, his foe would be exactly there and took the liberty of planning a surprise for him. Just as it was foreseen, a catastrophe struck the unsuspecting battler like a bad omen. Shaken up and damaged badly, he took time aside to rest and replenish his strength.
Wiping the slime from his face, the lips of the Arcanine glowed as he launched his next assault. As the Muk braved the fire's from Holocaust's maw, the blob retaliated with a stone-shattering shriek while Vengeance drowned out his true sight with the unreal phantasms of the night. In his quandary, the beast barreled down with the greatest of speed on whom he thought was his corporal target, only to get a face full of dirt as he sunk through its phased body. His mind temporarily cleared and the ghost right above him, he threw forth his fangs, clenching deep and tight, into its unprepared being. The pain flowed throughout its being, shattering its mind, until the spirit made itself untouchable once more and slipped from the clasped jaws but not far enough. As the legend came in with his teeth once more, the specter could only close its eyes tight and manifest its black heart. The beast froze stone-still an immeasurable distance from the ghost. Opening its eyes, it found its prayer had been answered as a small, dark imp peered maliciously from over the Arcanine's back.
Tengu and Havoc arose simultaneously. Knowing his foe still carried the raw essence of battle in his muscles, the Hypno surrounded himself with metaphysical walls. The Poliwrath, likewise knowing that his opponent held the key to destroying his mind, emptied it, abandoning all thought and mental objects that the ESPer could try to pervert. His eyes glossed over with a void mirroring his brain. Entirely forgetting that two others were with them, the two clashed, wielding their futilely rendered weapons against one another. It was not long before the hypnotist figured out that the frog had sealed off his mind, so, in a clap of thunder, a crackling ripple was flung outward, swallowing the amphibian. As the wave left his body, he was rendered motionless. Turning skyward, the baku called for help from the heavens. Hearing his cry, Yasha, letting her bulky cargo be carried off by two other winged creatures, plummeted earthbound. Meanwhile, Calamity, working through her own stiffness, had finally managed to pull the last pin from her tattered gown and now took up the task of standing. On the other side, Cinder's attention was currently captivated by the battle between Vengeance and Holocaust.
The demon sat on the back of the tiger's neck with its long, bony arms wrapped about his gullet with a knife to his throat. The cold, steel blade panged for him to finish of apparition that way it may know the taste of blood once more and take two souls with it back to the depths. With a greedy smile, the fiend whispered dark thoughts into his ear, coaxing him to take the life. The edge began to wedge its way through the skin, trickling a drop of blood, growing impatient with the Arcanine's decision. Scared out of his wits, he at least knew that the spook could not take up action less it forgo the conjured presence. The stalemate would have last without end, but, suddenly, the air wailed as a barrage of muck exploded upon them. Goopy, knowing his comrade was as good as safe from the vile sludge, fired heedlessly into the group. The devil fled as the beast was knocked from the Gengar, doused in corrosive fluid from head to toe. Raising its arm up high, the essence of night flooded to its open hand, building into a chilling ball of darkness. With every fiber of flesh being eaten by acid, the black orb tore through and decimated his soul, bringing about the end of Holocaust.
As the Crobat soared closer to the ground and to her target, Cinder broke from his watchful vigil so that he might join her arrival. As he threw himself at the struggling Havoc in sprint, Tengu's fist and the full force gathered by Yasha's wings all collided at once. Arching her path, she returned to the heavens. The overkill toppled the amphibious titan, revealing the black witch standing behind. As they all prepared to jump her before she had an opportunity to weave her magicks, it was not known that they were already too late. They all could tell, however, that something had changed about her. She carried a different air than the crippled Jynx they remembered from before. As she rigidly drew her face to view, it was known. Her eyes were dulled and emptied, just as the Poliwrath had done. Before he was knocked out, Calamity had cast a spell to forge his charms. Not only was her mind guarded, but also her once frail limbs now protruded with rippling muscles. Things continually grew worse as, when Cinder took the initiative and hurdled himself at the vixen, his blow fell like a feather against her body. Almost knocked from his senses, his closer position allowed him to see the faint glistening of the invisible shield that wrapped her body. In her spellbinding, she had taken the privilege of pilfering the Hypno's armor, too. Rendered supreme, they all now had to face her alone.
Off in the forgotten battlefield, Serenity was positioned atop Rei, striving to drive her own spear into her. Frenzy and Shade had remained locked in melee from the start, nothing ever breaching the deep concentration they put into their skirmish. The Muk and Gengar were spotted approaching to aid in the others' confrontation with the super being. Without delay, the temptress dropped before Cinder. Her lush tongue slipped out from her lips and trailed up from the base of the Flareon's neck to the end of his muzzle. Amazingly, he managed to shake off the grotesque tingling and leap back.
"I can't believe you, Calamity," a shout of protest rang from Serenity, whom had witnessed the event from afar. "You were licking pussy harder than that last night." In a bizarre instant, all commotion stopped dead. Slowly, all heads of man and beast alike turned towards Serenity as she felt their questioning eyes fall upon her. "We battled a Persian," she flatly explained, rolling her eyes. A general murmur of acceptance sounded among them as they all returned to their fighting shortly, for the most part. Frenzy and Shade, the exceptions, still stood with heads turned with bulged eyes and half open mouths. Their weapons hung loosely against one another. Once gravity pulled them apart, the clash of them striking the ground would rekindle the heated conflict.
The hips of the siren began to sway as her dance began. Despite the occasional jerky movements, the all-male force was soon enthralled by the elegant ballet. Her twirl even gathered the attention of the inorganic Muk and Gengar who, too, were made at her mercy. As she bounced and bound, her spin wound down before Goopy. Kneeling ere the enraptured pile, she hesitantly placed her plush lips upon his slimy forehead, assuaging him into a blissful sleep. Upon his first snore, the succubus' jaw drop down low as a column of mental energy flowed between his brain and her mouth, sucking out every bit of the sick dreams from his weak mind that she bestowed upon him. Restored, yet left a bit disturbed, in a single thought, the drained sewage was whisked away like nothing. Temporarily coming to sense, Vengeance departed, being safe rather than dead. Changing tempo, the Jynx waltzed over to her two remaining adversaries with a bit of fire in her step. As her rhythm picked up, her limbs did likewise, flailing about Tengu in a cyclic whirl. Pushed beyond his limits, the Hypno collapsed as she stared down her final enemy.
The sorceress ran her hands down her shapely form as she gradually approached the Flareon. In full vigilance, his eyes never left her body. With each nearing step, she aimed to be more seductive to hold his interest. It appeared to keep working, as he never once made a move against her, but his focus was not on the parts of her body that she thought he was concentrating on. His eyes perceived her make and her motion, the intricate details of her existence. They even went further, breaking down the construction of her barriers. Everything came down to a single, shining point, and he only had one shot at it. An eerie wail carried in the wind as Cinder braced himself securely. The very fabric of the night was torn away, light spilling in its place, as it was pulled in towards the flame beast. Amidst a field of white, the Flareon's shadow sat like a puddle of pitch beneath him. Faint vapors began rising from his body as a translucent doppelganger took shape above him. Whining the ungodly cry from before, the phantasm drew up from the black pool spindles of darkness that pierced its being, filling it with the dark void beyond its bounds. When the shadow was emptied, a shapeless mass hung over his head. Releasing the skill mirrored from his friend, the fragment of his soul then rocketed forward, ricocheting off the ground, striking Calamity at a less direct angle. It sped straight through both monster and shield. The wall shattered to bits. The enchantress's spirit was virtually ripped from out her body. Scarred in flesh and in essence, the far overwhelmed Jynx accepted defeat. Ramming Serenity off of Rei, the tackled woman was tossed into her brother. Seizing the opportunity, Shade investigated Rei's well being.
"Well, this won't do," Frenzy blatantly stated, rubbing his head. "I think it's time we pulled out... 'it,' don't you?" Pushing her brother from atop her, Serenity sat upright.
"Do you think we should?" she pondered. "We don't even know if we can control it."
"I don't think we have much of a choice," Frenzy related, pulling out a hefty orb from his pocket. "I hope you two enjoy this surprise we have for you. It's something new and exciting that I guarantee you haven't seen before. In fact, no one has, for millions of years." Hurling the ball out as far as he could, it cracked open, pouring forth light and a deafening roar from ages lost...
